What is powder coating?
Powder coating is the process in which objects are coated
with a dry powder, heated (or cured) until the coating
melts and are left with a flawless finish.
How long does powder coating take?
Unlike wet paint which can sometimes need a few days to
dry properly, powder coating is a much faster service.
Depending on the size of the item and the amount of
preparation needed beforehand, the entire process time
can vary. However, the curing time is usually around one hour.
What materials can be powder coated?
Almost all metal types that are capable of withstanding an electrical charge and temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius can be powder coated.
How environmentally friendly is powder coating?
Without the inclusion of harmful chemicals and solvents, powder coating is much more eco-friendly than standard wet paint and any coating that gives off dangerous fumes into the atmosphere. Our fully automated paint line also includes a recycling centre that minimises our waste production.
What Is the maximum size object you
can coat?
Our powder coating system is able to take any product
up to 3000mm x 1500mm x 600mm in size.
Why use powder coating opposed to
other forms of paint?
The main advantage of powder coating is it offers
excellent protection. Powder coatings can provide much
thicker layers than traditional liquid coatings without
running or sagging, whilst remaining resistant to chips
and scratches.
When is powder coating required?
Powder coating is strongly recommended when protecting object surfaces from rust and weathering, especially if they are going to be used outside.
